My Story with Native Instruments:

My journey with Native Instruments began with an invitation to test the Maschine MK3. As part of a straightforward testing group, I found myself unexpectedly alone at the final meeting, with others unable to attend due to illness or other obligations.

Armed with my insights and observations, I delved into the testing process with fervor. Despite the structured feedback session outlined on three papers, my discoveries and suggestions took center stage, steering the conversation in unexpected directions. For 45 minutes straight, I shared my findings and ideas, leaving the room in awe of the possibilities and issues I unveiled.

The impact of that meeting became evident when I received an invitation to the next session. It was during this gathering that I proposed the concept of a standalone version of the Maschine MK3 – an idea that would ultimately materialize into reality years later. The prospect of contributing to the evolution of such a groundbreaking product filled me with excitement and anticipation.

However, my journey with Native Instruments took an unexpected turn when the company decided to shift its focus away from hardware development. As a result, all connections to the company were severed, leaving me with a sense of disappointment and loss.

Despite the challenges encountered along the way, my experience with Native Instruments remains a testament to the power of collaboration and innovation. While our paths may have diverged, the impact of those early interactions continues to resonate, serving as a reminder of the transformative potential inherent in every idea and conversation.
